12U - Brett Antosh

Brett Antosh has been coaching youth ice hockey in the Philadelphia area since 2013, and has coached Mites, Bantam AA, and 16AA at the Youth levels. Brett joined the Keystone State games staff in 2014 as an assistant coach to Wayne Evans at the Bantam level, and helped the team finish second three times and first for six consecutive years. He became the Head Coach of the 12U team in 2021 and led the team to three straight first-place finishes. A 2009 graduate of Holy Ghost Prep, Brett served as an assistant coach for his alma mater at the JVAAA level since 2014 and was named the head coach of the JVAAA team in 2022. During his time on the bench, Brett helped guide the Firebirds to 2 SHSHL League championships and 2 championships in the highly competitive APAC league. Brett graduated from Elizabethtown College in 2013, where he was a letter-winner in lacrosse and a two-year captain of the club ice hockey team.

Wayne Evans has been involved with ice hockey as an Instructor, Director and Coach, for over 35 years in the Greater Philadelphia area. He attended W.B. Saul HS and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering from Spring Garden College and Web Master and Microsoft Certifications from Penn State University and is a Navy Veteran. His coaching experience ranges through all the age groups of Tier II, Varsity HS, ACHA Div II College and Juniors and has either head or assistant coached Pee Wee, Bantam and Midget teams for the Keystone State games. Various teams he coached have won the DVHL, Regional Silver Sticks and Hockey Night in Boston. Over the last 8 years of competition Wayne and his coaching staff have coached our South Bantam team to 2 Silver Metals and 6 Gold Medals.

16U - George Watkins
Coach George Watkins joins the Keystone State Games South Region this season as head coach of the 16U team. He brings a distinguished playing and coaching background marked by leadership, competitiveness, and player development.
As a player, Watkins was a prolific forward who competed at every level, including AAA club and scholastic teams, regional junior teams, and the ACHA collegiate level. Serving as team captain, he helped lead the Bloomsburg University Huskies to the 2017 G.N.C.H.C. Division II Championship. He led the Huskies in scoring during both his junior and senior seasons and earned the team’s Offensive Player Award in each year.
In his coaching career, Coach Watkins has already made a significant impact. As an assistant coach, he helped guide the North Penn High School Knights to the 2024 AA Flyers Cup title and the program’s first-ever AA Pennsylvania State Championship. He also played a key role in leading the Knights’ AAA Middle School team to a SHSHL league championship in 2024.
Coach Watkins holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. He has designed and managed strength and conditioning programs for Division I collegiate athletes and brings that expertise to player development. During the offseason, he develops strength and power training programs and leads skill, skating, and game-awareness clinics, consistently focused on maximizing each player’s potential.

Coach Brennan McCourt is a West Chester University graduate, with a solid hockey history in the Inter County Scholastic Hockey League. Both as a varsity player, and then as a highly respected coach for the Perkiomen Valley High School Vikings. Brennan was also an assistant coach for the Boyertown Area High School Bears from 2021 through 2024.
After stepping aside as Perk Valley’s head coach at the end of the 2023 – 2024 season, Brennan returned to their bench as assistant coach for this season. As a varsity head coach, Brennan had accomplished seasons leading to a division championship, as well as other championship appearances, and Flyers Cup Tournament appearances. He has a notable combined high school coaching record of 84 wins, 46 losses, and 3 ties.
Brennan is also been a Tier II hockey club head coach, coaching in the Delaware Valley Hockey League, the Eastern Junior Elite Prospects League, and the Atlantic Hockey Federation for the Valley Forge Colonials. He has coached at the 16U A/AA and 18U A/AA age levels. Brennan is currently the Valley Forge 18U AA head coach, and the Colonials 16U AA assistant coach. Brennan believes that “Excellence is a Habit, and that if players believe in that statement, they will be successful in the sport and in life.”

Coach Joe Carter II brings over 40 years of combined coaching and playing experience, with a lifelong dedication to developing hockey players at every level of the game. From elite youth programs to entry-level skaters, Joe’s passion for the sport and player growth is evident in every role he’s held. He is currently the Head Coach of the Genesis Hockey Club 14U American team, where he focuses on advanced skill development, systems play, and building a strong team culture. Prior to this role, Joe served as Head Coach of the Lady Patriots 19U and 16U/19U teams, and previously supported the program as Assistant Coach at the 12U A and AA levels. His coaching approach emphasizes discipline, respect, and long-term player development.
Joe has also held several positions within Genesis Hockey Club, including Assistant Coach for the 12U American and 14U B teams, where he worked closely with athletes during key stages of progression. For over a decade, Joe was a Head Coach with the Toms River Blackhawks, leading teams at multiple age levels—Bantam, Pee Wee, and Squirt—and helping establish a strong hockey culture within the organization. He also spent time coaching at Winding River’s Four Seasons program, further expanding his impact on local hockey development.
A cornerstone of Joe’s career is his unwavering commitment to entry-level hockey development. He has spent five years assisting with Larry’s Goalie Clinic, training young netminders in both technique and mental focus. He is also deeply involved with the Lady Patriots UCan program, introducing new skaters to the fundamentals of the game in a positive and inclusive environment.
Coach Carter holds a USA Hockey Level 4 coaching certification, underscoring his dedication to ongoing education and excellence in coaching.
